IPA Ireland Awards

IPA Ireland is introducing an annual awards competition.

There are three categories of awards, namely:

(1) Region of the Year,

(2) Club of the Year, and

(3) Member of the Year.

These awards will be presented at National Council each
year in respect of the previous year.

Any individual IPA member, IPA Club or IPA Committee can submit a
nomination, or number of nominations, for any of the three awards
as per the attached Nomination Forms.

Nominations will be emailed to the Secretary General before the 28th of February and will be
shortlisted by the Social Commission before being judged by the NEC
prior to National Council. Members of the NEC are precluded from
being considered for the ‘Member’ of the year award.

Going forward from 2019 the closing date for nominations will be the 31st of
January, which is in keeping with other IPA statutes.

The winners will be awarded a framed certificate of excellence.

Each category will be judged on eight competencies and criteria as
outlined in the adjoining pages.

Each area of competency is rated on a scale of 1 – 5.

Therefore a maximum of 40 points can be awarded.

The nomination with the most points will be the winner.

Nominations will be accompanied by a piece of text explaining why
the nominee should be the worthy recipient. The author may refer to
some or all of the 8 relevant competencies.
